Doreen Bechard
Regional Director of Resort Operations
Doreen Bechard, Regional Director of Resort Operations for Grand Pacific Resorts, is an integral member of the management team, overseeing fiscal and quality issues at six resorts in California and Hawaii. In 2010, Doreen was awarded the prestigious "Leadership Award" in presented by the Grand Pacific Resorts Management Co., recognizing her outstanding contributions. Her expertise includes launching key corporate initiatives focusing on inventory management and Resort Condominiums International (RCI) contract fulfillment.
As Regional Director of operations, Doreen initiated the Sourcing of Best Practices and Implementation via Standard Procedures (SOP) program that is now an integral part of Grand Pacific Resorts' day-to-day practices. Her responsibilities include the "Going Green" sustainability initiative at all resorts and leading the Best Practices Forums for maintenance, housekeeping, safety, activities and the front office. Doreen's responsibilities include the Southern California Beach Club, Alii Kai, Villa L'Auberge, San Clemente and Carlsbad Inn properties. In addition, she was recently chosen to be the Regional Director of the new MarBrisa Resort.
Doreen combines a hands-on management approach that encourages communication with a detailed understanding of homeowner association governance, resort operations and maintaining a solid relationship with timeshare exchange companies. She has been with Grand Pacific Resorts for ten (10) years. Prior to her joining Grand Pacific, Doreen was Regional Vice President of the Pacific Region with Resort Condominiums International (RCI). Jay Anderson
Regional Director of Resort Operations
Jay Anderson joined Grand Pacific Resort Management in March of 1999. He has Operations Oversight for our Northern California properties, and also leads the management team at Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and Hotel. Jay is also responsible for targeting emerging businesses opportunities and acquiring new management contracts for Grand Pacific Resort Management.
Jay has over 17 years of experience in the hospitality sector. Prior to Grand Pacific Resort Management, Jay was with Interstate Hotels and the Marriott Corporation. With Marriott, Jay chaired the Total Quality Management (TQM) team as well as the resort wide Safety Committee. He earned Manager of the Year distinction in 1997 and under his operational leadership, the resort earned "Marriott Top 5" in several categories, including "Friendly Front Desk". Jay has the distinction of opening two properties. In 1999, he was on the opening team of Grand Pacific Palisades Resort & Hotel, and in 2007 he was the opening Team Leader for Grand Pacific MarBrisa Resort, a Hilton Grand Vacation Club affiliated resort.
During his tenure at Grand Pacific Resort Management, Jay has served as General Manager for both Carlsbad Seapointe Resort and Grand Pacific Palisades Resort & Hotel. As General Manager, his responsibilities include; budgeting and financial performance, service and facilities excellence, sales and marketing support, Home Owners Association (HOA) management, Board of Directors liaison, conference services, corporate and group sales and day to day operations. Jay also served in the United States military in Germany and as a Tank Commander during Desert Storm. He attended California State University at Fresno.
Jay has been married for 15 years and has three children. He volunteers extensively as a board member on the local school site council, in Boy Scouts of America, at his local church and with Little League Baseball. [Top]
Mandi Weigel
Area General Manager
Mandi Weigel, Area Manager of Resort Operations is an integral member of the management team, overseeing the day to day responsibilities at Carlsbad Seapointe Resort as well as leadership oversight of Coronado Beach Resort.
Mandi joined Grand Pacific Resorts in 2007 at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort and has been promoted into positions of increasing responsibility culminating in her current role. Mandi was honored as Resort Assistant Manager of the Year for by ARDA. She has also been awarded the prestigious "Leadership in Innovation & Best Practices" by Grand Pacific Resorts Management, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the Departmental Forums across all resorts which focus on Best Practices for Maintenance, Housekeeping, Front Office, Activities, Safety and Service Culture. Mandi led and played an integral role in the launch and development of the Going Green sustainability initiatives for Grand Pacific, and continues to take our sustainability initiatives to new heights.

James Tennery
Area General Manager
James Tennery, has been part of the Grand Pacific Resorts Management team since 1997. He currently is an Area Manager and oversees the management teams for California Vacation Club, RiverPointe Napa Valley and Indian Palms Vacation Club.
Having grown up in the hospitality industry James views our industry as a calling to serve others. After serving in the United States Marine Corps he started with Grand Pacific as a Front Desk Agent. With his strong leadership style and knack for creative problem solving, James was quickly promoted and filled several midlevel management positions at multiple resorts throughout Grand Pacific Resorts. In 1998 James was promoted to General Manager at Southern California Beach Club. Since then he has managed Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge in Tahoe and was part of the management team for Red Wolf Lodge Squaw Valley. From Tahoe James moved to Napa to build RiverPointe Napa Valley which eventually grew into California Vacation Club.
James continues to innovate within the industry. He has recently launched a new method of training employees through "Gorilla Training Videos" and also rolled out an online publishing program for resort guests. James has also implemented creative approaches to inventory management and revenue generation to achieve the outstanding results.
James has two daughters with whom he shares his passions for the outdoors and photography. James volunteers with the Napa Chamber of Commerce, Vacaville Public Education Fund, Vacaville United Soccer Club and the Vacaville Rugby Club.

Greg Veal
Area General Manager
Greg, has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined the Grand Pacific Management team in December of 2010 as General Manager of the Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley. Greg's commitment to customer service took the resort to a #1 customer service rating among all GPR resorts and continued that trend as a top rated resort. His focus on inventory management and revenue generation has proven to be very successful. Based on his accomplishments in Squaw Valley, Greg was promoted to Area Manager and is now located onsite at Grand Pacific Resort's recently awarded new management contract, Mountain Retreat in Arnold, CA.
Prior to joining Grand Pacific Resort Management, Greg was with Vacation Resorts International (VRI). He worked as General Manager for two different resorts and shortly thereafter was promoted to Director of Resorts. In that role, he had operational oversight of 8 properties throughout the western United States ncluding San Diego, Palm Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Ventura and Lake Tahoe.
As Area Manager with Grand Pacific Resort Management, Greg has oversight of the Red Wolf Lodge in Squaw Valley as well as the leadership of Mountain Retreat.

Mary Dieckmann
Director of Owner Loyalty
Known for her attention to detail and personalized customer service, Mary Dieckmann directs Owner Services for Grand Pacific Resorts. Her responsibilities include increasing owner satisfaction, creating programs that re-engage owners to use their timeshare, and the development and enhancement of owner communication and education programs.
Mary joined Grand Pacific Resorts in 1992 as Resort General Manager for the opening of the Coronado Beach Resort in Coronado, California. She maintained the resort's efficient operation during and after the acute sales period. It was at the Coronado Beach Resort that Mary's attention to detail flourished, leading the resort to Gold Crown status while keeping owner delinquency below 2 percent.
In 1997, Mary was promoted to Regional Director of Resorts. Since then, she has provided oversight and guidance for the daily operations at several Grand Pacific Resorts, including Carlsbad Inn, San Clemente Cove, Southern California Beach Club, Grand Pacific MarBrisa and Indian Palms Vacation Club in Southern California, California Vacation Club in Napa Valley, as well as Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge, Red Wolf Squaw Valley, and Cedar Glen Lodge in Lake Tahoe. Her responsibilities included oversight of the resort's day-to-day operations, financial performance, long-term reserve project planning, inventory management, preventative maintenance, guest services, employee satisfaction and growth opportunities.
Mary serves on several Boards of Directors and works closely with the Boards of many of the Grand Pacific properties. She currently serves as Vice-President for Carlsbad Seapointe Resort and California Vacation Club and Secretary/Treasurer for Grand Pacific Palisades.
Mary has worked closely with RCI, II and Hilton Grand Vacation Club, three of the largest exchange companies in the timeshare industry. She is valued for her overall knowledge of the timeshare industry and has been invaluable in the development of new programs and services for Grand Pacific. [Top]
Kelly Lawrence
Purchasing Manager
Kelly Lawrence, Purchasing Manager for Grand Pacific Resorts has 25 years of purchasing, buying and project management experience, 20-plus of those years in the hospitality industry. She manages the purchase and expedition of product for new construction/development, renovations, replacement as needed for 14 resorts under the corporate umbrella. She initiates the RFP process for multiple quotes, develops budgets, set standards for all resorts and administers the Buy Efficient purchasing program.

Harvey Riddle
Director of Resort Construction and Facilities
Harvey Riddle, Director of Resort Construction and Facilities for Grand Pacific Resorts has over 18 years experience in all phases of building operations involving mechanical, electrical, air systems and various types of HVAC systems. He oversees the Managers of Maintenance for all the GPR resorts and the bidding process for resort specific projects. He was instrumental in obtaining a new state-of-the-art reserve study that link to reserve funding forecasts. Prior to joining Grand Pacific Resorts, Harvey was Manager and Engineer for Equity Office, The Plaza at La Jolla Village in San Diego.
